To create an efficient image upload tool one must take hours and hours to create it because I see how complex it must be just to provide an upload button and let the user upload their own image. The problem I have now with the image upload process in UDT is that there's no way to limit the file size, format and quantity of images the user is allowed to upload. Is DotNetNuke 5.0.0 going to have a different user profile process then it already does now? Has anyone posted any threads on whether or not the next release of DotNetNuke supports a user profile image upload?

There are plans to integrate a new urlcontrol into DNN Canbrian, but it will not be part of DNN 5.0. The new one will have a number of improvements and be extensible and there are plans to include imageupload and urltracking as well.
