Further to my message below, there are no error messages on our local devleopment Vista (Business Editon) but we get the below when adding a column or settings for a colum (all other settins are ok!) on the Production Server 2008 (Standard). also when we contact a seach and no results no message appears telling us "no records found", on the local developement machine we get a message "no records found" when no results are found.

Hope the above will explain more the weird error message, I am getting.

Thanks in advance
