Hello,

I have an image field defined and I have set the settings for image columns to limit the image to 100 x 100. This seems to work when you choose an image from a file on your site, but if you choose an external URL, it does not. So someone can use a huge image that throws off the rest of the page.

To get around, I used a very specific CSS path and set it to have  a max-width:100px;

Not sure if this is by design, but the documentation does not make the distinction:

Image Width / Image Height
If you leave these fields blank, images are displayed in their original size. If you specify a
width or height value (numeric, in pixel) all images are scaled proportionally to fit the
sizes you specify.

Chad,
this limitation is by design. if you enter width or heigth, a thumbnail for the image is created, which requires direct access to the file.

At least this was the original idea behind. In case that the setup doesn't require medium trust, it would be possible to retrieve the image on server side per http request, render a thumbnail from it and to cache / submit the result.
