Form and list URL issue

As a list I have a text field with several hundred records. When I converted that field to a URL type and entered 'Website' in the out box in the advanced options it will select a file on the website default as URL. Since I have 100's of records it will be to much work to individually edit every one. Any idea how to set every record to URL type?

you may perform a mass upgrade in UserdefinedData table in the database, but youneed to know, which existing value to convert into which new one. you may lookup proper fieldId in UserdefiedFields table first, to specify proper WHERE statement.

PS: I forgot to mention that you should start with a database backup first and need to restart your application, to get the new data being displayed in your DNN web site.

I thought it may come down to a mass sql operation...would you please give me more detailed pointers how to update this? (I agree on the backup)

Also to the same job I wanted to display this same table and display it with a form view module from Datasprings via sql cmd but I could not identify the table/fields. I asked the Datasprings people but they seemed unsure so as this would relate to my mass update somewhat. I appreciate you do not have the details of the table but any pointers would be much appreciated.
