Good day,

I hope someone can help me with this...

I added the form and list module to my online request form page on my website. What I want is for users to be able to attach their documents/files when completing the form. I am using the "Download" option type, but I see the download field in my form does not show when users view the form, it only shows for admin and when I login. I don't want users to login and only see the download field once they have logged in.

What can I do so that the download field shows for all users and not just admin?

Will appreciate any help

Camerone, did you make sure, the download column is marked to be visible (not private) and the users have bee granted read permisssion for the folder (in Admin > File Manager), where the documents are stored?

Hi Sebastian

Thanx for your reply

Where can I see whether the download column is visible or not?

And if I give users permission to a folder in the file manager, will it give the users access to the whole file manager or not? I would prefer that they only have access to one folder...

go to Form and List configuration and click the pencil in front of the download field, details will be displayed below the list.
To grant permissions for folders, go to File manager in Admin Menu, select the folder in the tree on the left and grant permissions to roles or single users in the permission table beneath the folders and files area.

Cheers from Germany,

Hi Sebastian

Thanx for the help

I checked and the download column is visible to all users.

I also gave permission to all users, admins, registered users and unauthenticated users at the bottom of the file manager, where it shows the following options "Open files in folder", "Browse files in Folder" and "Write to folder", but nothing changed. Still can't view the download column as user.
