Hello,What would happen to the intances of the Form and List module I have created on my site if I would deïnstall the Form and List module, make a little change to the source files, and then reïnstal the module? I'm guessing this is not a good idea, but I thought maybe someone tried this before? The only change I would make would be in the datatypes.config file to try to make it possible to upload other (pdf and doc, etc) files using the Image data type. (I have no access to the database files for my site, so I therefore I need to modify the files before install of the module)

Fenna,

when you uninstall the module, all data will get lost as the uninstall process deletes all the tables. Also all instances of the module will be deleted.

You should first export all the content from all instances of the module, and after installing the modified version, re-import it.

What shall be clear: You will not be able to upgrade the module to a newer version without losing your changes - so the better idea would be to talk with the developers of the F&L module that they implement the desired functionality.
