Hello,How can I extract only the year from [Created at] field and combine it with another custom field in a Calculated column? For exampleConvert([Created at], 'YYYY')+'_''+MyOtherColumnI can use Substring and Len, but there's no Find function, so when the Datetime frield in [Created at] is different lengh i cannot use Convert([Created at], 'System.String') and extract the year only.

 Yes, it is possible with XSLT.

You have to use the ms:format-date and ms:format-time library.

In the small example below the DatePosted field is splitted in to a formatted date and a separate time.

A small code-snippet:

<span class="dateposted">
    Posted at <strong>
      <xsl:value-of select="ms:format-date(udt:DatePosted, 'MMMM dd yyyy')" disable-output-escaping="yes" /> at
      <xsl:value-of select="ms:format-time(udt:DatePosted, 'HH:mm')" disable-output-escaping="yes" /> hours
    </strong>
  </span>

It says "Error Description: Cannot find the script or external object that implements prefix 'ms' "

i tried
xmlns:ms:urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xslt"

The error is due to using DNN 4.9 on the UTD and XSLT 1.0 (not 2.0) & .NET 1.1, so it's very difficult to do something very normal.

Though I find a way to accomplish what I wanted with the limited resources. The solution is with xslt 1.0 sort by 2 columns like that:

the first column 'SortOrder' is Calclulated Column, with Datatype 'Date and Time', Expression [Created at]
