I am supporting an admin user of the Forms and List module who is having trouble reconciling the data being exported to the CSV file and the listing of data being shown when clicking “Show Records”.

The Show Records link correctly lists all record, but the export to CSV file contains a lot fewer records. It looks like the export to CSV algorithm may try to account for duplicate submits, eliminating what appear to be duplicate submits (because the submit times are more- or-less identical). This doesn’t seem to always be true, however. Sometimes it appears that records that appear to be double submits in the list, do show up in the csv file.

Does anybody have a better explanation for the discrepancy?

Do you see a pattern in what is exported and what's not?

It appears that when a name is deleted via the "Show Records">Edit>Delete, it doesn't get removed from the list,, only from the exported CSV.

So for example, I was a to enter my name three times by triple clicking on the submit button. At first, I appearted three times in the CSV. Then, if I deleted one name, I only appeared twice in the csv. After a different  one of my records showing on "Show Records" was deleted, I only showed up once in csv export. and so on ...

Is this a feature?

I've revisited this, and I do not see any pattern for what's included and what's not. My previous post, where I thought records were being removed from the CSV export was incorrect. I've got people with 4 or 5 records showing in the list, but not one record is in the CSF file.

The only pattern I see is that for each person "Records Submitted" >= "Records in CSV" >= 0
