I tried following the direction on the BLOG (http://www.formandlist.com/blog.aspx?...) but the new DataType I created doesn't appear in the list to be used. I can't seem to find any other directions other than this BLOG entry. I am not getting any error, and the Event Log hasn't recorded any errors either.

Can anyone help? I am trying to use the FnL as a temporary patch to a significant problem on our site and need this Custom DataType feature ASAP.

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

UPDATE

Okay, I actually got it working, I was putting the App_Code directory in the wrong location. My custom DataType (DropDownList filled using SQL Query) is now available.

I am having a new isssue... I select an item from the DropDownList, and when I click "SUBMIT" no value gets stored...

I know I must be missing code in one of my classes (DataTypeDistrictList or EditDistrictList). But I don't know where to look since documentation on Custom Data Types is so sparse.

Help!!

Nevermind. After banging my head on it for a while I figured it out.

Thanks, Timo
