Hi I have downloaded the free trial version of the UDT. It works graet except for the 3 field limitation. Does this only apply to the trial version? What is the restriction on the number of fields that can be created?

Cheerio, Lucielle

Free trial?

User Defined Table is as free as DotNetNuke itself. We do not offer trial versions nor UDT has any limitations or restrictions.

Please tell me that this is a mix-up with a different third party module.

Please have a look at our poject's home page, you find a detailed description of UDT's features. Take care, that you download the version, that is compatible with the DNN version of your installation, e.g. current UDT 3.3.3 is for DNN 3.3.0+ and 4.3.0+ only, please use UDT 3.2.0 for DNN 3.2.0+ / DNN 4.0.0+ and UDT 3.1.0 for all previous DNN versions.

It was downloaded from DNNToolSet and I assumed it was created by the DNN team, apparently not. I have downloaded the UDT as suggested and will test. I had problems linking from file servers as apposed web server - is this supported in the UDT module e.g \\Bklnis110\user\DSNET\NSERV

Thanx for the time. Lucielle

AFAIK, UserDefinedData from DNN toolset was derived from a previous version of UDT and anhanced by the vendor.

Linking to file servers is supported, it needs using the file:/// prefix, e.g. file:///myserver/myshare/folder/file.htm. This will work only in intranet environments and not in medium trust.
