is there any way to update an XML module's content without reloading an entire page?

i have 4 xml modules on 1 DNN page and i'd like to be able to update them individually without reposting the entire page. each module is an xslt page which pulls data from my database (into an xml structure) and then displays the data as a table via xslt

i currently have a link being generated via the xslt which reloads the whole page (and passes in parameters) like this:

<a href= "http://mywebsitename/Shop/tabid/38/Default.aspx?pr={$pr + 5}&amp;pl={$pl + 5}"><img src="http://mywebsitename/images/rightArrowOn.png" border="0"></img></a>
