I can confirm the changes have corrected the issue!

I do have a question. I need the path to the output file. EG. www.domain/portols/0/3da23c5432f2.csv  Before the update I recall seeing a file being created that appeared to be randomly created with a hex value that contained the output data. EG. 3f1568ca5674ba.csv. What options create this file? Is a new file created with each page refresh or is is the name static and the contents get updated. I can no longer find this file or reproduce it with any settings. The second piece of my project required me to point to a static file name that was continually being updated.

Thank you so much for your help and guidance!

Disregard the previous post. I now understand what is creating this file. Not the XML module. So my question is: Is there a way to get the fully qualified path of the file instead of the url to the file? EG: www.domain.com/portals/0/results.csv

Jason, there is no file. The transformation result is directly streamed as response. The closest thing you can have is the url - either of the page or the download link.
