Hello, I would like to modify the XSL/XML module in order to have the possibility to pass parameters to the XSLT file. I already know I've to use the XsltArgumentList class, but I've never modified a module. Is it difficult in my case ? Have you got a tutorial that explains how to modify a module ?

The next version will have parameters, but it will take some time.

To help yourself

  1. get and install dotnetnuke 3.xx (not 4.xx) and VS2003.
  2. Install the XML source version
  3. Open XmlModule.ascx.vb, goto line 84 and add

                    Dim argList as XsltArgumentList = new XsltArgumentList()
                    arglist.AddParam("xxx", String.Empty, cstr(Request.QueryString("xxx")))
                    xmlContent.TransformArgumentList=arglist

  4. Compile. Now you have the parameter xxx containing the vale of the querystring xxx

Thank you for your answer. When do you think the next version of the module will be available ?
I don't have VS 2003 on my computer. Is it possible to translate the module for the framework 2.0 when open it with VS 2005 ?

you can use the module upgrade wizard, available at the dotnetnuke download page to convert the module to asp.Net 2.0.
