Is there a way to display a users Display name in the forums instead of the login/user name?  I am creating a forum for a gaming community, and alot of the users use ascii characters in their names, and would be a pain for them to have to use a character map on a regular basis to just log in.  So what I am thinking is they can login with normal characters, and then in display name, have their ascii characters, and then when in the forum it will show their name with the ascii characters.

Thank you in advance for your response.

In addition to that thread, you might want to know that the new Forum update has this under General Settings.  You can now set it to display either the User Name or the Display Name.
