Hi Guys,

I would like to be able to change signatures to take in a UserID (or somewhere in the post template) so that I could link to my own UserProfile module - like this....

I read in your Blog Crispy that you are considering a skinned approach - would this give us this flexibility with Tokens?

You doing a great job - can't wait for the next release - check how cool the SimplyClean skin looks on PokerDIY!!!

The templating is still a release or two away yet. What we have done thus far is get some consistency from a designers perspective (Rob) to make the current solution 'theme-able' without too much trouble and what we feel is a proper manner. This is the first step in moving to a full 'skinable' solution. As for when the time comes that this is fully implemented, we will be doing a system similar to portal skinning that uses forum theme objects, which are tokens in html.

The SimplyClean does look good on that site.

Ok, that sounds great - just wanted to let you know of the different ways the module may be used/integrated. The Replacement Paramater approach opens up a lot of integration opportunities with very little effort and no source changes.

Looking forward to the next release (mainly for the Avatars ;)

Hi! I'm tring to integrate my own UserGroup module, like the Group feature on your website, with the Forum module.I was wondering how did you replace the links in the Forum module without changing any source code. Can you clarify the Replacement Paramater approach a bit more?

Hi Slanren,

I have not yet managed to do this as the Signature and code in the Forum as it does not allow templating or replacement params. On my own forum I have merely hardcoded my Profile's ID into my sig, but that is just mine - I think this feature (replacement tokens) would make the core very flexibly and powerful (and it's quite a small change relatively...).

Please raise any Smart-Thinker specific questions (e.g. about replacement params) on the ST Forums...
