This problem is probably related to this thread so I didn't start a new one.  At work I use a RSS aggregator to keep up with these forums.  I've subscribed to each of the Forums and Gallery forums using the link on the bottom left of each.  When I click the link to open the thread in a browser I get the proper forum and thread but the whole private forum shows up on the wrong project page.  For example this link section of the XML opens the New theme thread but on the Wiki project page.
<link>
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=848&forumid=7&scope=posts&threadid=11181
</link>
I get a similar result for the Gallery forum.  Today all threads seem to be showing up on the Wiki project page but earlier to day they would go to different project pages.  Not really a big deal for me but someone else might not like it.

I am really trying to understand what is going on here.   I assume this is somewhat related to pulling the feeds from the various project pages.  Can you please walk me through where you pulled the link from, and the actual link the feed is as well as the generated links.  I am just trying to get to the bottom of this.  Also, when you say private forum what exactly do you mean?  We have private forums here but only project team members should see these.  Also, private forums do not support RSS feeds.  Please explain, thanks.

Starting at Project page For Forum http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=820 .

Then navigating to "Using the forums" section located on the Project page. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/DotNetNukeProjects/ModuleForums/tabid/820/forumid/7/scope/threads/Default.aspx

Subscribing to syndication using the XML button on the lower left side by the page count.

Then what I do is, using an RSS Aggregator called RSSBandit I open up the feed to read new threads. Using this thread as an example if I click the link that leads back to the thread on the DNN site the link sends me to http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=839&forumid=7&scope=posts&threadid=10828

Which is this thread in the "Using the Forums" forum, but it is displayed today on the Project page for Localization. Last night when I posted I was directed to the Wiki project page. The forum that is displayed is correct but the project page seems random.

Where it should send me is http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=820&forumid=7&scope=posts&threadid=10828 . The only difference between the two is in the correct link I manually changed the tabid=839 to tabid=820.

Taking the RSS aggregator out of the picture doesn't change anything coping the link right out of the XML does the same. I tried just for completeness.

I also tried this by subscribing from the project forum page where all of the forums are located in one spot and it has the same effect.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsProjects/tabid/795/forumid/7/scope/threads/Default.aspx

About the Private forums just forget it I mis-spoke.  What I ment was the forums on the Project pages.

Here is the news on the issue.  Use the main feed from your 'master' forum until a new release is done.  There is no timeline for one at this time and I haven't really investigated this problem.
