I want my users to be to download anonymous an attachment from a forumthread. The forum is made public and all users will see the forum.

When i try to download the attachment as an anonymous user i get the following message: "You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File"

The attachment is a file placed in the portal root folder. I have checked this with the file manager.

Does anyone know how i can make this get to work.

Off course i could also use the documents module, but i have not upgraded to 4.4.1 yet and the document is not showing up to anonymous users. Besides i want users to be able to get a notification if the opt in on the forum.

Regards,

Marc

The forum uses the core URL controller for attachments. This means you need to set the folder permissions in the file manager as well for users to download attachments.
