Hi

I have a DNN installation with a forum. I recive a error message today. I have been working for 2 month without any problem.

The only new thing is that we have 3 new users today.
A little strange is that if i login as administrator or host i can see the forum module.
If i login as a "normal" registed user i can see the title of the forum module but not the forum and i also recive a error message described below.I have put a Text/Html module on the same page wish i can see when i login as a normal user.

The error message i recive: A critical error has occurred. Request is not available in this context

I use DNN 04.03.05 with DNN Forum 03.20.08

Greatful for help!

That same thing happened to me a few months ago.  I fixed it by unchecking the solopart thingy.  I think it is called "Show navigator" in the forum administrator settings under General Settings.

Before I knew to do that, I reinstalled the same exact version of the Forum in my DNN and that fixed it also.  Problem was that the same error would happen again a week later.

Hope that helps.

Hi. Thanks for the sugestion. However, how did you get to the 'General Settings' if the forum was down?

When I got the critical error, I reinstalled the same exact forum module over the old one.  Then once I got it working again, I unchecked the solpart thingy.

It happened on more than one occacion and a few times, I was able to log in as host and change the setting.  For some reason it worked as the host login.
