Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.

Is there a way like in PHPBB to hide a forum so only selected registered users can see it and post in it?

You need to set it to a private forum.

Sorry for my ignorance on this, but I have been searching around and I can't seem to find where you set it to a private forum.

You can get to this by doing the following.

Enter "Forum Administration"
Select "Manage Groups/Forums"
Click "Edit" next to your desired private forum
Expand "General Settings"
Place a checkbox in the "Is Role Restricted?"  field
Then you can specify the roles in a new role list box that appears!
