Well I am a FF user, haven't used IE much for a few years now.  So I was trying to setup a forum to be accessible by certain roles only, I kept clicking the folder image.

The window that opens up for me to search for my roles doesn't work on FF.  Please tell me this is an abberation on the DNN platform and not something I will run into much.

Will this bug be fixed?  In today's market it isn't good to have IE only sections of key parts of the platform.

First of all I will say that this is an isolated issue, secondly I would recommend going to the newest version of the forums, as I know when I did I regained this functionality in FireFox as that is the browser I typically use as well.

Latest version... I just installed this whole setup on Thursday.  Are you saying that the 4.5.3 doesn't have the latest version of the forum?

The issue you have reported is an issue of the current (most recent) version, which is included in DNN v4.5.3. It is a known issue and is promised to be fixed with the next update of the module (v4.4.0 or something).
We all wait desperately for the release, but it seems that good things need time ;-)

So, when ever you want to configure avatars or roles you should use the IE for the moment.

Tom.
