I am currently trying/testing DotNetNuke on my localhost, using the latest version.

1. I  have installed the DotNetNuke, to many things running without any problem.

2. I added the Forum package through the host account and then to a page through the admin account.

3. The Forum Settings has only two items

a. Forum Group <Not Specified>

b. Enable Footer

None of the quick here there is informative enough, and if I try to use it I get the error:

A critical error has occurred.

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Anywhere to find help on how to install the forum module?

What did you do in order to get around this issue?  I'm having the same problem...  Database is created, the install wizard comes up, I enter the host and admin information and then we get this very same error...  Can't seem to figure out how to get around it.
