Hi --

I set up a forum on a page that I only gave view access to Administrators and one other security role.  I posted a message and asked that I be replied to if someone posted a reply.  I received a message as the forwarded address for admin@mysite that told me someone had replied.  There was a link in the message saying I could view the message by clicking.  I did that and it brought the page up for me without my having to log in or anything.  This is not acceptable for us as we need the viewing of this forum to be limited to a select group of people.  Does this mean anyone would be able to view this page by typing in the url for it directly?  perhaps there's a cookie on my machine that allowed me to see it?

Any insights weould be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Mike

HI --

Thanks for the reply.  I'm not sure of the timeframe of the upcoming release.  Is there anything I can do about it in the meantime or do I just have to disable forum functionality for now?  Any early betas I can get my hands on?  Or should I compile the source and try to find a place to intervene myself (not my preference!)?

Don't want to be a pain, but guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Mike

Sorry, we give no Beta to users, about we must be sure the new module is stable.  So you must wait to the release of the Module.  Disable the Notification Mail is at time the only think you can do.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you for alerting me to the fact that I could turn notification off, which I have done in the forum settings.  And password protection does work when a user just types in the URL at the browser address bar.  This will do the trick.  Thanks again.
