Hi Forum Team,

I went into a forum to enable polls, and when I click on save it falls over with this message:

Something to do with a setting type conversion I assume?

Is there any other logic other than setting a flag in the DB against the forum? If not then I'll run a SQL script - I want it on all forums.

Rodney, this may be a beta upgrade thing. Can you try turning on thread status first to see if it is populated, then enable polls and see if the word "Polls" shows up in the list or even if the thread status items are missing too.

*edit* Sorry, wrong Cut and Paste!

Thread Status is enabled, but one thing I noticed is that Forum Behaviour has no items in the ddl.

I updated the poll flag via SQL (and I can see it checked in the UI now), but I still don't have the ability to make polls in that forum.

I assume all the files will have been overwritten with the released version, so there may be a DB table type difference perhaps?

Sorry, I did not realise that you needed to set the thread status to "Poll" to make polls - I can actually do this now in the forum that I enabled via SQL. So the problem is the setting save does not work but I can make polls once I change it in the DB.

I am worried that my users are not going to know that that is how they can make polls - many of them never even use Thread status, and they not going to think that the Thread Status ddl is related to creating a poll in any way.

It would be nice to have a button "Create a Poll" next to "Create new Thread" that opened up the posting form but with the Thread Status set to "Poll" and the options enabled, otherwise I fear my users are never going to see or use it. Just a thought...
