Using DNN: 04.05.01
Forum: 04.04.03
Forum is Normal, Public, Moderated.

These issues all happened after upgrading from the previous version.

1. I have the forum module installed on a page. When I try and uncheck the edit box for
the all users group on the page, and save the page, the edit module box still shows as
being checked.

2. When I go into the forum module settings, and look at the permissions for the all users group for:

Edit Module
Forum Admin
Global Moderator

These are still showing as being checked. When I uncheck and click on update, they still
show as being checked and I'm not able to change this.

Note that inherit view permissions is not checked.

3. When I go into manage forum users, it is showing everyone in the DNN community in the
user list, even though there is a much smaller number of forum users in the acual database
table for users.

Is this the default behavior now?

4. When I click on a user, the email moderator checkbox is always checked. When I uncheck
it and save, it still shows as checked.

5. When I go into managing users, it always shows that the user is trusted.

The box is grayed out and I am not able to change it.

I've spent hours on these trying to resolve, but have not been able to find a solution.

Would appreciate any suggestions anyone might have on this.

1 - No idea how this would happen, I assume you are talking about the module settings area and permissions which sounds like a core communication issue there.

2 - Same as above.

3 - Manage users allows you to manage all DNN users in case you want to make them a moderator or something and they haven't been on the forum yet. This seemed the best way to do things.

4 - I will have to investigate.

5 - If the box is disabled, you need to go into Admin -> General settings and disable the "Lock User Trust" checkbox.

1. Yes, Module settings. This was not the case using the older forum. This is the behavior since updating.

What do you mean by core communication issue, and where would I go to fix it?

2. Same as 1.

3. OK, understand, this makes sense then.

5. I went to Admin -> general setting and disabled the Lock User Trust checkbox. (Unchecked it.)

I then saved the settings, and it correctly showed the unchecked Lock user Trust checkbox.

When I go back into a user record, the trused user is still checked and checkbox is not accessible.

That doesn't work. Go to Forum Admin => Forum Users => Manage Forum Users, select a user and go to the "Admin Settings" section. The "Trusted User" check box is always checked AND ghosted, so this setting is locked. ALL users are always "trusted users" until the "Enable Member List:" check box in Forum Admin => General Settings => Community is checked! In short terms, the Member List has to be enabled in order to remove the trusted status from users (via the Member List => User Profile => Moderator Settings).

Using an administrator login, I changed this as you're saying, went into a user record, and the box was still greyed out and still could not change. Forum is public, moderated.
