Hi Guys,

I do know that the forums adjust the time of posts depending on a users timezone.
But what do you do about countries that practise daylight saving time? Wont their posting times be incorrect for half of the year?
Or is it up to the user to change his TimeZone settings?

Thanks

Th underlying libraries in the .Net runtime take care of DST (well mostly they do). So you should have not problems there..

Cheers

Roger,

I am not aware of this feature, please elaborate. AFAIK, DNN does not rely on .Net Time zones, though we plan enhancemements for the ASP.Net 3.5 version, as time zone handling will be improved in that version.

Sebastian,

Interesting. I'm pretty sure when I followed through the code earlier in the year it called into .Net. I may be wrong. However, as a UK user, I've never had a problem with DST apart from at the start of this year when the US DST date changed. This was with my host being west coast US. I've now moved to a UK host, so I wouldn't notice anyway, so I can no longer check.

Cheers
Roger
