I have installed a forum module on my parent site. I would like to have my child portal forum module access the same forum data. I realize the is a little work to be done on the SSO issue. But I am looking at simply updating the userportalID table to achieve SSO.

If I install a forum module onto my child site, how would I point that module to the same forum as my parent site? Is changing the ForumPortialID sufficient?

I see that not to practicable, about there are differnt user databases between the portals. To make this work you have to do some Database changes and changes on the source.

Matthias

Thank you for your response.

Based on your response, I'm pretty sure, with a little thinking, I can combine the portals into one site. Thus eliminating a boat load of work and getting complete functionality.
