Edit Forum also fails with the same error. Here's more detail from the Event Viewer.

This Forum Module 4.4.3 instance took a serious hit upon the failed thread split.

I don't know if the failed thread split caused the errors with Add/Edit Forum, or if adding the missing FM Lists contributed to the problem.

I'm restoring the database back to the day prior to the split.


If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.

After restoring database from day previous to thread split error, confirmed on this installation that adding missing Forum Module Lists:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/7/threadid/181497/scope/posts/Default.aspx

... can cause a new problem to arise: cannot Add/Edit Forums. On this installation, after adding FM Lists, the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.


If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.
