I had a 10 post thread I was looking to split. I wanted to split off the last 3 posts into a new thread (in the same Private No Moderation forum).

The split seemed to work OK. The new thread was made, and the new thread has the split Subject name I gave it. But it looks like all the posts of the original thread came along in the split, not just the 3 posts I marked to split off. The pager indicates all the original thread posts are in the new split thread. I can view the 3 posts in the new thread OK, but when I attempt to page to other posts in the thread:

  A critical error has occurred.
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index

After the split, the original thread is gone from the forum. Forum Module 4.4.3 'Search' finds the original thread, but when I attempt to click into the thread, I get this error:

  A critical error has occurred.
Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

I was able to delete all three posts in the new, split thread. I was hoping this might bring the orginal thread back to life, but it hasn't.

The original thread is still not listing in thread view, but the thread can still be found using forum 'search'. Still, when clicking on the thread found by search, this error:

A critical error has occurred.
Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

In the database, I can see all 10 or so posts, but I can't revive the thread in thread view.

Any suggestions for resyncing forum view and these posts/threads that appear to be OK in the database, but not showing?

Still looking to revive a thread in view that disappeared after an attempt to split thread failed. This is an active, popular thread so any suggestions for returning it to view would be welcome.

Summary: A thread w/ 10 posts disappeared from thread view after a failed attempt to split the thread. The thread can be found by 'search', but when clicking to enter thread, the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Value cannot be null. Parameter name: value

I am still looking for a solution to this failure, to recover a popular thread that disappeard on attempt to split the thread. I am willing to do whatever manual steps are required to return the thread/posts that are visibile in the database but won't list in Thread View.

I did learn this morning that this installation also was missing the Forum Module List. Perhaps that led to the problem when splitting the thread? I used the script in the following post to fix the missing Forum Module Lists condition.

Don't know if this is related, but a new error arose today. When I attempt to Admin > Manage Forum > Add Forum

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I cannot add a new forum.
