Upgraded DNN 4.6 to 4.8

Forum 4.4.3 is installed

error in module was: The stored procedure 'dbo.Forum_GroupGetAll' doesn't exist.

Reinstalled Forum module

Now error is: The type initializer for 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.DataProvider' threw an exception

Any ideas, please?

The Events Module and Announcements module had similar problems after the upgrade.  The latest versions of each module was instaled before the DNN version upgrade to 4.8.0

These problems were all resolved and data was all preserved by taking the following actions:

Backup the database.

Uninstall each module that has a conflict.  In my case: Forums, Announcements, Events

Reinstall each modules. (Be sure to use the latest versions.)

Restore the database from the backup created at the beginning of this process.

Most important:  this worked with my particular circumstances.  Can not empahasize enough... your circumstances may produce different results.
