It's working. It had something to do with skins, not forum themes. The solution was to go back and reapply a different skin, the apply the skin you want. I later installed Forum Themes (green) and had no issues with it at all in terms of  affecting Forum Members Online. As for online/offline members not showing up... I was working on terms enforcement and some of the forum users had not yet been fully authorized. So, that's Part II of what was wrong (no onine/offline image showing up even though you could see the Forum user name). It's all working now. Thanks for the help.
