Yes. I logged in as a registered user with the username TestUser. Then I went to Forum, User Settings and checked the "Display Email Address" checkbox. Then I clicked the "Update" link at the bottom of that page. Then I went to Forum, Member List, and clicked on my Site Alias to display the User Profile page for my account. The Email field is blanked out. If I log out and then log back in as Admin or Host, I can go to that same User Profile page and see the email address for TestUser.

In other words, if I'm logged in as TestUser I can't see the email address for myself or any other registered user who has elected to display their email address. However, if I'm logged in as Admin or Host, I can.

I would like to configure the Forum so that registered users can see the email addresses for users who have elected to display it.

Thanks,
Greg

What DNN Version do you using, and is it a new install or upgrad from what forum version?

Here are the steps to reproduce the error from a fresh install of DotNetNuke.

DotNetNuke version: 04.08.01
Forum version: 04.04.03

Description:
Unable to configure Forums so that non-admin users can see a user's email address on the Forum User Profile.

Steps to reproduce the problem:

- Install DotNetNuke 04.08.01.
- Register two accounts, one as TestUser1 and the other as TestUser2.
- Login as host.
- Go to Host, Module Definitions.
- Under Available Modules, select the checkbox for Forum (04.04.03), then click on Install Selected Modules. Forum now appears in the list of Installed Modules.
- Add a new page to the default portal named Forums. On the Page Management screen, under Basic Settings, Page Details, Permissions, check the View Page checkbox for Registered Users. Click Update.
- On the Forums page, delete the HTML module in the ContentPane.
- Add an instance of the Forum module to the ContentPane.
- On the Forum edit menu choose Admin. The Forum Administration page is displayed.
- Choose General Settings.
- Under Community, check the checkbox for Enable Member List. Click Update.
- Logout and then log back in as TestUser1.
- Go to the Forums page.
- On the Forum edit menu choose My Settings. The User Settings page is displayed.
- Under User Profile check the checkbox for Display Email Address. Click Update.
- On the Forum edit menu choose Member List. The Member List page for the Forum is displayed.
- Click on the Site Alias for TestUser1. The User Profile for TestUser1 is displayed. The Email field is blank.
- Logout and then log back in as Admin or Host and go to the User Profile for TestUser1. The Email field shows the email address for TestUser1.

Thanks,
Greg
