Hi,

If I only have 4 folders under my root directory, and only one of them is read/write for the level of users that actually use the forum. Is it possible to set that when posting on a thread or a new thread. In the upload attachment sections, the only read/write folder is available from the drop down list?

Thanks.

Hi,

the permissions can only be setting up over the Admin - File Manger. There you can add an remove permissions to roles.

Thanks, but I am aware of the folder permissions. I have set this particular folder called 'attachments' be available for all users. However under the folder drop down list all folders appear besides 'attachments' is there anyway to remove this option or make it only list the 'attachments' folder?

Sorry, I did not realise that the standard folders were by default set to view by all. I assumed they would all be defaulted to admin.

Removed the read rights to those folders, and problem solved. Thanks guys.

It is a feature of the DotNetNuke Framework, so there is no way, else setting permissions to the folders.
