I am not sure but it seems to me as the time zones are not changed or insert right to the users profile from the AD Provider.   Please Check this:

1.Go tu Admin - Site Settings, scoth to Other Setting, check the Portal TimeZone.  It is setting by Pacific Time after install, You have change this to Eastern Time, if it is on a other time zone.

2. Check the time zone settings of the Webserver (Its the system time)  please.  If it is not Eastern Time you get wrong resuts of the posting time in DNN.

You can try over the SQL to set all users to Eastern Time, and look if it working then.  But if you have many people on other time zones, I will not suggest todo this.  You can also lett your users check there TimeZone in the Users profile.

The forum did not have there own TimeZone in the forums user profile.

Hope this will help you to come out of the issue.
