Within the "My Posts" section, I am having issues trying to save the avatars successfully.  (Using latest 4.8.2 DNN and latest Forums Download)
I get this error message:
An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File to .... wwwroot\Portals\0\Forums\UserAvatar\

The odd thing is, this folder within ftp does not seem to exist.  By creating the destination folders it still does not save.
I'm guessing this might be something simple I may be overlooking.

Feedback Appreciated.

Please check the upload permission for your role in the Filemanger for the folder.  The Roles with permission to upload files for that folder must have write permission!

I am experiencing same problem...

An Error Has Occurred When Attempting To Save The File E:\inetpub\vhosts\star356.com\httpdocs\Portals\4\Forums\SystemAvatar\Avatar_STAR_Patch.jpg. Please Contact Your Hosting Provider To Ensure The Appropriate Security Settings Have Been Enabled On The Server.

I have made sure that the folder exists, and that FULL CONTROL is placed on the directory for the USR.

This copy of DNN is a duplicate of another DNN project in which the uploading of Avatars does work, but in this copied instance, it does not work.

I have gone back and forth with my ISP and tried everything possible to fix the situation with no resolve.

Does anyone have any idea what else may be causing this?

I was able to resolve my problem.  It seems that when I created the folders via FTP, the folders were not recognized by DNN.  When I created the folders via FileManager and set the permissions, it now works great.
