Hi..

I have placed the DNN Forum Module on my website but there seems to be a problem. It seems that by placing the forum module on the website that it has messed the layout of the page around.

I have a content pane and a side pane on the page. The side pane is empty on the page that I will be using for the forum. When the forum module is placed on the page the side bar gets pushed under the content pane and the Copyright and Terms+Conditions text at the very bottom of the page moves into the side bar's place?

If this hasn't made any sense then I will try to explain it a little better.

Thanks in Advance.

Its a problem with your Skin.  All DNN Modules are dynamicly.  The layout of the skin will not be overriden from the Forum Module.  If the panes of your skins are dynamicly in width and/or hight all Modules used the maximum of the complete skin hight and width.

Hmmm, my skin is set with a fixed width? This doesn't really help. Is there anything you can think of that might be causing the issue?

On a side note the forum index does not mess the layout up it is only when you go into a forum or post that the changes occur?

I only know that not well coded skins/containers and 3rd parity modules that is asigned to the same page as the Forum can caused your issue.  I can not know how it is coded.

Hi.

I have had a similar problem today with my forum module.  I have checked my event viewer and cannot seem to find a problem there that stands out.  One of my users did try to edit a post of theirs and I wonder if something has happened from that.

You'll notice on this page (www.jiggyjigs.com/Forum/tabid/66/Default.aspx) that the first forum "general fishing talk" has "none" in the latest post column.

This is what appears when you click on that forum... www.jiggyjigs.com/Forum/tabid/66/forumid/13/scope/threads/Default.aspx

I have had this module working fine since it was released other than a few small bugs that apparantly can't be fixed...but this is the first time I've seen this problem.  The layout of the entire page is wrong.
