Hello:

Sometimes I am receiving the notification email and some other times I am not.

My only problem in the notification email is the link, that asks the user to go and visit the thread online.

Here is a sample of it:

You can view this thread by clicking here.

New post in Visual Web Developer 2005 Express

I just created a new Virtual Directory of your project that you sent, made sure it is running under ASP.NET 2.0 version framework, and it worked perfect. It just displays a simple textbox right?

So as Wessam mentioned, make sure the application runs under .NET Framework 2.0.

The link here is displayed as follows:

<a href="/Default.aspx?tabid=76&amp;mid=456&amp;forumid=11&amp;threadid=9&amp;scope=posts"><font
  color="#cc0000"><span style='color:#CC0000'>here.</span></font></a>

So users are not being able to go and visit the thread.

Have you ever passed through this before?

Thanks,

This is a known bug which only shows itself when FURL's are not enabled. A fix is provided in the Developing the Forums forum.

Hello:

I tried to enable FUL but it seems, when I click on any link on my menu, I am getting Page Not Found, although I have the SiteUrls.config in the root of my application, is there a fix for that?

The solution give is it on this link:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/mid/2108/threadid/11174/scope/posts/Default.aspx

The method is about the FormatUrl ?

I am allowed to get the code of the forums? Where is it?

Finally, I want to ask you about the ATGen, what is that? Is it used to create a new module template with all its needed objects and database stuff? Does it take into consideration the database table relations? I have been using CodeSmith template for my start up modules, but would like to get myself into a higher level of development in DNN.

Thanks,

The forum source code is available on the project's download page.

Again, please see the Developing the Forums forum for the complete fix.

ATGen SDK uses a table in the database to build all the CRUD sprocs, create the DAL, biz layer and UI to start a module as well as all the projects, proper references necessary. It also includes nant scripts which package the module. It is like the CodeSmith templates but uses myGeneration and therefore on 'steroids'. Please use projects.apptheory.com for questions related to the SDK.

ATGen SDK is awsome, saves tons of time and is directly responsible for at least one minor heart attack last Friday.  :)

I should have shown it to the software engineering director before he bought the professional version of codesmith. :)
