Hi Yello,

at first the "embed" tag is not XHTML compliant and breakes the XHTML compliance of your portal. You have to create a module like a Module Wrapper to insert an existing Forum.

i think you are mistaken entirely with my usage of 'Embed'.

Sorry.i never meant using embed tag. What i mean is - placing the forums module.i make it more meaninful.

I have a multi-tab(CSS) module and the forum is one among the tab. There are other tabs which are not common to all pages.

The forum is common to all pages (i.e Display one forum on all pages)

The other items in the tab which are not common Text/HTML module.

see this image

i tried loading forum controls via PortalModuleBase bt no data is being loaded.

i want to know how can i accomplish this.

i am ready to code..bt dont know where?

The Forum have a feature, you can add a instance on a 2nd Page and select a specific Forum  in the Module Settings.  Have you used this?

Thx for the reply.i know that.bt this will not solve the problem.

The forum module is common across all the pages in the site (which i set '' checked)

But i dont have enough control over forum as i wanted to place the forum module inside a div.

i tried editing forum_container.ascx but this helps only to put div outside the forum rather than putting the forum inside a div.

Which User Control i need to edit to make it possible.

Is there any developer documentation on forums available other than forum desc doc.

Thx
