The search function for this forum module is not particularly intuitive...or maybe I just have not found the magic key...

I read through the documentation on the Forum module and outside of a single limited paragraph on searching I was unable to find any real detailed info.

How do you combine a search when you want a word or phrase that may appear in either the subject or the body?  I cannot get it to look for a word unless it appears in both places...or so it seems.

How do you enter a list of words with simple conditions like and's and or's ...I can only get it to match the exact phrase...

I am sure I am doing something wrong but what ????

BUMP!!!! How do you search for multiple words contained in the body?  like "yellow" and "dog" .....or "css" and "error"?

ANYBODY?

Until I can either remove support for SQL 2000 completely from the module and enable full text index on columns the only option availabe to enhance search is to write a custom spidering system (similar to what core does for search - which does have limitations) I will be unable to enhance search beyond optimizing the performance.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but is there a recommendation for adding data validation to the search fields?  Data validation seems to exist for the settings fields but not for the search.  I did not see this listed as a current issue in Gemini.  Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
