Hi All,

I recently upgraded a DNN site from 3.1.1 to 4.9.0.  We've been using the DNN forums on the 3.1.1 site for a good while, and after upgrading to 4.9.0, we've had a user report a change in behavior.  He says that before, when he posted to a forum that he was tracking, he did not get an email notice with a copy of his own message.  He only got email notices for forums he was tracking when another user posted to the forum.

Is there any way to get the old behavior back?

Anyone have a suggestion on how to do this?

there has been major changes in the latest forums version you have installed now, and a few glitches - one is that users get notifications of their own posts as well. AFAIK this shall be solved in next version of the module - I move this post over to the project forum, where Chris or Matthias will provide you with more details.

Cheers from Germany,

Some users need the notificaton of a own post too, some don't want it.  We have add it about it is better to have a mail more else it is missing.   I have some projects where the poster nedd a email too, so I like this feature.  We can not add several feature tasks to one feature about it will blow up the module.

I think only a enable/disable feature for own posts in My settings can solve your problem.  Please add a feature request to the public blog of the gemini on http://support.dotnetnuke.com .
