Has anyone written about or come across issues in regard to the Forum module load-speed. We host site that utilizes the Forum module and we imported legacy thread data into the new module. However, when you navigate to the Forum page it takes an amazing amount of time to load. When we fire the SQL natively in the DB we don't see the lag issue, but on the site itself it takes a lon time for the page to load. Keep in mind we have 100,000+ threads. I just wasn't sure if anyone else came across this issue or if there were settings that I'm missing. Perhaps it's a permissions issue?

I sit on a shared hosting or a own server?  What is the hardware of the IIS and SQL servers? Have you enabled the indexing for the SQL server?

It resides on its own server. The web and SQL servers are identical hardware-wise except for RAM. The SQL server has 8GB, the web server 4GB. The both run Windows Server 2003 64-bit. I'm using IIS 6.0 on the web server and SQL Server 2005 on the SQL box. Indexing is enabled. The processin power of the servers is immense, so I can't really see it as a hardware issue.

So you report the processing power is immense, I iterprate this to 100%.  Is this is right, I suggest to clean the ScheduleHistory table.  Login as Host and run this script in SQL with enabled runas script on your system.

Delete  * {databaseOwner}{obejectQualifier}ScheduleHistrory

Go

I hope this will solve your issue.

If it is a upgraded forum from  Forum 3.x Version and the solution does not work for you, we have to check all Spocs, Viewes and Functions.

Sorry - actually what I meant was that the CPU is barely being worked. It's a 4-CPU/Quad core box. It's a clean install of 4.8 DNN with the Forums module. I didn't upgrade the Forums module, just installed it from the core.
