Hi everybody.

I notice when ever I submit my post on dotnetnuke.com it shows Views = 0 and replies = 0 and when I click on the post to read it again (I know it silly but I do it) it display Views = 2. It happens everytime I tried it so I tried to test is on my DNN5 to determine if I am crazy or not. So after setting up a quick forum I notice it display that Views = 1 and replies = 0 before I even viewed it. (Did not give my forum a modurator)

OK I like to try silly stuff but what I also notice is when you put 2 forum modules on the same page you can give each one different disscussions but if you click on a thread to read it both modules display the thread and the view count add 2 counts to the views. So I told my self while I am at it why not push the limit and reply to the post. Bam only 1 reply section and I notice my views added 3 to the count. I removed 1 module so that there is only 1 on my page. So after I replied to the thread the view count was added by 2.

So that made me wonder if I preview my reply will it also influance my view count. Great the preview does not ajust the views count. You can use more than one forum on the same site but don't put them on the same page. So the only thing I can't understand is why does the dotnetnuke.com display 2 views after it is viewed for the first time and why does DNN5 display 1 viewed if it was not even viewed.

Billy.

this is the magic of Forums module - no other forums module in the market has this charme ;)

I expect this to be fixed in next version of the module, but there is noone, who might give you a timeframe.
