We have recently setup the email queue task on our forum, we thought this would be a convenient way for our membership to know what's been posted on our messageboard, but not receive an email for each posting.

It does not appear like it is setup correctly, can someone explain exactly how this is supposed to work?

I was under the impression that we would get one email sent out per day with ALL the new postings from the forum in it.  My website admin says he does not think this is how it works.

thanks in advance

Markus,

have you setting the queue tasks in the event schedule too?  A complete description how to sett ing up notification forums, and how to setting up the queue tasks you can found in the free user manual you can download from FORGE Forum project download page.

Known issue in Forum 04.03.00 is that the notification by threads didn't work property.

I hope this will help you.

amarkus,

What you guys are looking for is Digest Notifications. This is not what the Email Queue Task is. The Email Queue Task simply sends emails in a separate thread instead of a user posting (then waiting while emails go out) then returning to view their post. What you are looking for is not available in the module.
