Is there a way to conigure the stock DNN forums module to allow registered users to attache documents to posts? It appears only DNN admin roles can do this. If this is true, is there another reccomended forum product that anyone would suggest for DNN?

Yes it is posible by role.  Check the users manual you can download free from the project downloadpage in Forge.

I went through the manual and still unsure on how to allow registered users to upload their attachments from the local sys to the server as the admins can do.

Hoping you could shed some light into this matter

You have to set permissions in the DNN File Manager for the folders you want that users/groups can upload files, then also to the Forum, as it is descript in the manual.

Sorry about being such a bug but I gave permissions to a certain folder to be written into by the Registered Users and allowed attachments and its permissions in the Forum.

The end result being, the registered users do get to add their attachemnt from the permission given folder, but unlike admins the UPLOAD button seems missing for registered users.

Am I overlooking something here or should I give some perimssions based on the roles also.

Many thanks
