Hi, I'm using DNN 3.1.1 and installed the forum module. We have different pages with different discussion forums on each one. We've setup several users on it and have been using it for several weeks just fine.

However today I added a new page, and a new Forum on this page and now whenever I logon as host or as my usual user logon I get the following error on all of my forums now:
A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Does anyone have any ideas??

Thanks in advance
Kelly

In my case, i have seen a bug in ForumGroup.vb file in RenderTopHeader method:

the object ctlMenu is nothing when ShowNavigator option is checked in forum settings. This fire an Object reference not set to an instance of an object exception

This also happened to me every now and then! I am not sure what actually caused this kind of problems though, but the error seemed to have disappeared for a while after the pages are refreshed/reloaded, until the next time when one of my users complained about the same thing.
