I have also noticed that in the [dbo].[Forum_Posts] table the column CreatedByUser does not have a value.

Regular users (i.e. members of the Registered and Subscribers roles) do not have a settings button only  a post button.

The 'My Settings' button is dependant on your module's permissions as well as the container so it can render the module actions properly. it looks like the error comes from attempting to render an image, which is part of the theme. I am not sure why this would be happening, but are you using the host user to post?  If there is no CreatedByUser then there is a problem elsewhere.

I did initialy add the module to the page as host but no I am not posting to the forum as host I am posting to the forum as a member of the Subscribers role.

All of the roles except for Unauthenticated Users and Registered Users have view but only Administrators have edit.

All of the roles except Unauthenticated Users and Registered Users have edit rights on the module.
