What forums module are these forums running in? It doesn't seem like the core forums module? The core forums seem a lot simplier than this one.

Well, you will have to take a better look. Yes, this is the core forums module donated by Tam.

I must say that IMHO it never was simple, and day by day it is going better and better

You will see that the forums dedicated to this module are the most active here and crispy takes a lot of time answering posts regarding this great module

I use it on my personal site and I am very happy with it.

Sorry - didn't mean to offend.

When you say included as a core module - is it the module called 'Discussions' because if it is I can't find the options required to configure it as per these forums.

And if it isn't I can't find the Forums module at all and would like some guidance as to how to find/install it.

Thanks,

Hello CoolKiwiBloke,

The forums module that you are reading this in is the core forum module.  The discussions module is just a really plain and basic version that could be used as a forum without all the user and security features.

If you go top of this page and click the link for Projects (second from the right, little gear with a notch out of it) it will take you to the projects page.  On the right side of that there is a list of all the core projects and modules.  You are looking for the Modules::Forum.  Click that and it'll take you to the project page for this forum.  On the right side of that you'll see the quick links list.  Click on the Project Downloads.

Download the 3.20.01 version that doesn't include the source. Then download the 3.20.01 GettingStarted documentation.  Read through the documentation before you install or configure it.  You'll save yourself if you do.  :)

Cheers,

Paul Davis
