Hi all,

I'm adding forums to my site and doing a bit of the initial setup piece.  I am runnings forums version 4.4.3 which I know is not the latest.  But from what I've read there are still problems with the latest so I'd like to wait until those are resolved.  What I'm trying to do is create "child" forums.  Just like is done here In the "Dotnetnuke Forge" group.

It has a "Module Forums" forum and then a list of forums under that (announcements, blog, etc.).  Is this possible in the 4.4.3 version or was this a new enhancement on the 4.5.3 version?

Regards,

Mike

The feature is not available until 4.5.3. The main problems with 4.5.3 are related to upgraded (lots to do with themes here) sites and users who use private messaging. The problems you may have seen here over the past 2 months are highly unlikely to be duplicated in most other environments.  I still stand behind what I said at its release that 4.5.3 is a better options than 4.4.3.

Thanks for the info.  I think I'll go to the 4.5.3 release as it's a new install and we don't plan on using the private messaging feature :)

thx again.
