Most of the time when I search, I am only interested to search in the current forum. However the default search searches all forums. Isn't it more natural to search in current forum only? and if you want to search all the forums it's easier to check a checkbox at the top instead of hunting down looking for the forum one is in in the case of limiting search to current forum?

If you use the search box (available in threads or posts view), it does search the current forum the user is viewing. Clicking search, permits users to search which forums they select.
