Hi, it appears that the Add/Edit and Search pages of the forum are being treated as admin pages. For example, I changed the portal skin (under Admin > Site Settings). When I browse to the forum home page the portal skin is used to render the page. If I then click the forum "Search" button, the portal skin disappears and the page is rendered with the Admin skin.

Also, I have a banner module on the home page that I configired to show on all pages. This also disappears when I go to the forum Search page or post Add/Edit page. This is another indicator that these pages are treated as admin pages and not portal pages.

Is anyone else seeing this? If not, any ideas what I should check to ensure the "Search" and "Post/Edit" pages are treated as portal pages, and not admin pages?

I am running into the same issue and I was wondering if there was something I can edit so that the Search page within the forums uses my normal skin. I've read through the PDF doc on the forums and didn't see anything about this behavior.

EDIT: I reread the PDF and found what I was looking for. I went ahead and changed my admin skin/container to match the Portal settings and it works fine. I'd love to be able to have a different skin when I am doing admin work but this will work fine for my site.

Chris has commented elsewhere that this is a fault of the DNN Core, not the forum. I guess the solution, though not ideal, is to have the Admin skin the same as the portal skin.

Cheers
Roger
