This is ridiculous!
It's been a year since the problem was reported and it's still not fixed. I have tried every one of the DNN releases since with the same error on all of them. My users have to do complicated workarounds to get files added to their posts. Active Forums is still in beta and is not ready for production environment, neither is there a conversion script to transfer data from the old Forums module to Active Forums, so I cannot migrate.
With the push for Blog 5 and Active Forums 5 the support for existing and still current core module has virtually disappeared.
The people who have posted in this thread cannot possibly be the only ones who are having this issue, so why is there nothing being done to fix it?

Thanks,
Igor

We are having the same issue as well.  It doesn't matter if it's in full trust or custom medium.  It was able to make the /portals/X/Forums/Attachments folder inside of the system but it wont write to it as there are no attachments in the folder.

  • DNN - 6.2.1
  • DNN Forum - 5.0.3
  • Windows 2008 R2 fully patched
  • IIS 7.5
  • MS-SQL 2005 SP4 fully patched
